the drive to nowhere

(my photos, the aunt's photos)
dress and bag, thrifted; underneath: tank, Hollister and Levi's cut offs; ring, Kristine's; Forever21 cuff; earrings, gifted; vintage-style Eiffel tower long necklace, Aizi Lim; sunglasses, knock-off Rayban wayfarers

What I wore during the trip to Iligan City and back. I'd thrifted this one with classmates when the internship at the private elementary school was nearing it's end. I'm still regretting not getting the incredibly long black skirt from the thrift store we went to. I guess I was running low on cash at that time I only had enough for two dresses. The thrifting excursion back then did give me this dress and a plain black mini dress.

It's incredibly simple a dress but I love the crochet details around the arms and the chest area. It's one of the white or creamy dresses I have in my growing collection. I've worn this one to the beach earlier this year.

The wallet's a gifted Liz Claiborne from my Grandmother residing in the States. It's been with me for quite a while now.

new toys to play with

Went out shopping with an aunt at this one store that sells a lot of things Asian-ish. Aizi Lim. It's my favorite destination for anything fancy...say jewelry.

Oh, and a random photo from yesterday.

that's because...

(my photo)
striped shirt, thrifted from Chartreuse Chic; shorts and ankle boots, thrifted; random bracelets and ring; knock-off Rayban wayfarers

I've been MIA for long now. The internet at home hasn't been fixed. It's been five days (counting today, of course). Currently at my father's clinic. My cousin took the photo for me via my cellphone so it's not as good as it looks in reality. Still have yet to get the perfect camera for entries in this blog.

Other things I enjoyed today: afternoon snacks (BLT and Strawberry hot tea) at the Slers Cafe in Velez St., Real Leaf iced tea (I'm strangely getting addicted to it), and my aunt's puppies that my cousins and brother have been playing with---Oxford and Xavier.

Took a trip down to my favorite thrift store and one good non-thrift store I'm planning to go back into, soon. Bought two dresses for the online store I'm launching (soon) but I find it difficult to let go of one. I'll have to, though. There's not much space in my closet for one.

You read it right, treasurehaunt will be launching soon! I would say, most probably the third week of July. That's a rough estimate as I, too, am busy with the reviews for the coming LET. I'm, however, currently ironing out the rough edges on the said online shop plan-turned-reality. So watch out for the launch!

Prints, prints, prints!

(my photo)

I've always been head over heels with graphic shirts. I've had this one for quite a while now. Bought it at Startrends at Multiply. In case you're wondering what the print is, it's that of a cinema. An old cinema to be exact. The lovely cream color I ordered it in with adds to its vintagey look.

Now you get a view of how messy my vanity table is.

shades of summer

Photos from InStyle
MAC To the Beach Nail Lacquer in In the Buff, BARIELLE in Belly Dance, CHANEL in Nouvelle Vague

My top 3 picks among InStyle's top 10 nail polishes. That MAC nude shade is just perfect for anything donned on in this heat. Coffee is rather an unusual color but for Barielle and the nude look, it's fine. More than fine, it's be cool the un-pastely way. Don't get me started on that Nouvelle Vague shaded Chanel. I see a few girls sport the same blue shade and it's just one of the in things these days. Sadly, I still have my fingernails free of nail color and my toenails in the really dark, almost black purple shade.

home is...home on a tuesday

The comfiest to wear on a hot, sunny afternoon at home? A wifebeater and a pair of denim shorts. I'm currently dabbling with the simple and plain but radly cut clothing articles. The outfit works well on the beach, too.

thrifted wifebeater and denim shorts

I look rather blah on a Tuesday. And I swear I don't know where the Buttercup plushie came from.
