scanlan & theodore ss 2011 lookbook

(refinery29)

Australian designers are amazing. Stumbling upon this made my day, really. Erin suits the simplicity in Scanlan & Theodore's beautiful pieces. She even wore this out to the New York fashion week!

I personally love the first, fifth and fourth pieces.

fringe obsessions

I never really got over my fringe obsession. This top from Forever21 ordered online is also soon to come to me in perhaps two months' time? Yep, another one of them fringed tops.

What I love about this is the material. I didn't go wrong choosing this top/vest, I suppose. Perhaps it's a top-vest hybrid? I'm not sure what to call it. It's pretty cool, though. It'd work for any costume party with the Wild, Wild West theme, too. I'll wear it out sometime, though.

Craving for other things other than fringes these days. The weather has become colder hence the craving for oversized sweaters. Topshop seems to have a lot of them.

under the velvet blanket of stars

oversized tee, thrifted; random jewelery

Worn out to dinner with the family and close family friends last night. It was pretty rad dining out under the stars before the rain started.

sister romantics

(blooming leopold)

I'm just as big a fan of vintage, romantic styling as I am of modern, edgy. These two sisters had to have two of the best blogs on cute and romantic vintage get-ups I'd encountered. I often venture into their blogs for random inspiration.

When I think about what's going on in that small closet I have, it's an eclectic mix of the edgy and romantic. I've a few pieces from the 90s and the 60s/70s, I suppose. I'm kind of looking forward to filling it with pieces that have anything to do with the 60s boheme as it, along with the florals of the 90s, happens to be my favorite decade.

I suppose one trend I'm into these days is the long dresses (the maxi?). I have one in my closet from an aunt I hadn't worn since receiving it. I'll probably bring it out sometime this year. It's predominantly purple with yellow flowers and a bit of brown. Reminds me a bit of a flowery gypsy long dress.

I am not inhibiting my freedom of writing and blog posting today because it's a holiday. The whole family's in and resting from weeks of work and school and such. It's National Heroes day right here and it's as pretty as Sunday...I think.

Erin Wasson x RVCA NYF Fall 2010

(style.com)

Looks like model-turned-designer Erin Wasson has done it again! Fall has come to countries with four seasons (minus ours, a tropical country, yes), and fall collections are out in the runways of New York. These three struck me the most. All of them being from Erin Wasson x RVCA for fall 2010. I like the idea of donning whites and nudes for semi-cold weather and this collection pretty much has all of that. Now if only the tropical countries would permit faux fur-wearing...
