Keeping Tabs on NYFW 2010

Oops! Looks like my last entry was...November 22nd? So many holidays and special non-holidays have passed along with a few seasons. Oh, dear. Gotta catch up, I suppose.

Like most fashion enthusiast, I'm aware the New York Fashion Week has come and I've been keeping tabs of it through style.com. My favorite designers are Diane von Furstenberg and Jill Stuart but fall 2010 collections from Alexander Wang, BCBG by Max Azria, Herve Ledger by Max Azria, Erin Wasson x RVCA, Michael Angel, Preen, Rag & Bone, Rad Hourani and Vena Cava caught my attention. And as my style.com lookbook list gets longer, I thought it best to share some of my favorites.

Alexander Wang

Particularly in love with the third and last one. The way the sweater's sort of draped on the third is lovely whereas there's a lingerie feel on the lace details on the last one. The take on the traditional suit on the second is surreal. Definitely Alexander Wang.

The fur coat on the last is lovely, really lovely. (How I'd wish we could wear it here but with the weather transition from spring-ish cold to extremely hot summer, I don't think we could. Ever.) Love the oversized-ness of the top on the second one. Layering on the third is just indescribable---love, love the inner shirt. The ethereal long white dress on the fourth makes me want to find my own.

Fell in love with the first and fourth one for its sheer-y loveliness. They look both randomly and strategically put (strategically, especially on the fourth one) at the same time. Is it weird I see it that way? Color combination on the fifth is just rad. Looks as if every shade of neutral colors are there. The second and third's simplicity are what appealed me to them. Now the bandage wedges are especially what I love about this collection. Wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of those.
